Overview

TheGenieLab partnered with Noelle Salon to streamline its Shopify presence—consolidating domains, upgrading the theme, fixing mobile UX issues, migrating content (blogs and contacts), and implementing SEO redirects and on-site booking enhancements.

Noelle Salon needed a faster storefront that emphasized bookings, simplified navigation, and mobile-first usability. TheGenieLab executed a structured plan to merge domains, stabilize the theme, improve page performance, and make key content easily editable by the merchant team.

We also addressed media optimizations, blog and contacts imports, appointment integrations, and QA—reducing friction across the browsing and booking journey.

1) Store Consolidation & Theme Foundation

  • Merged two domains into a single Shopify store with a theme setup and structured store configuration.
  • Planned a theme upgrade (investigation & roadmap) to modernize components while keeping content editable in the customizer.
  • Executed SEO redirects, store backups, and blog/contact imports to ensure data integrity and continuity.

2) Mobile‑First UX Improvements

  • Refined header media, reduced whitespace, and stabilized scroll behavior.
  • Fixed sticky header/menu behavior; made rows expandable and repositioned the close button for accessibility.
  • Aligned icons, corrected menu background color on scroll, and improved “Shop Now” links on desktop & mobile.
  • Optimized video sections (smaller, play/pause controls, and customizer-managed content).

3) Content Architecture & Editing

  • Moved “As Seen on TV” and “Meet Our Staff” to appropriate pages; made homepage sections customizer-driven.
  • Updated blog images to store URLs and imported legacy blogs & contacts for a clean content baseline.
  • Customized the footer with services, quick links, contact info, hours, and badges.

4) Booking, Location & App Integrations

  • Improved booking visibility by adding Book/Appointment to mobile navigation and making elements sticky on scroll.
  • Enhanced location clarity (e.g., search distance by ZIP code) and added a WhatsApp Business click‑to‑chat widget.
  • Supported Appointment/BPA app troubleshooting, B2B Retailer app setup, and new app installs.
  • Added survey form + email template; implemented price‑hide/comment rules as requested.

5) QA & Governance

  • Ran targeted QA passes (desktop, tablet, mobile) and prepared a PDF recommendation for follow‑up enhancements.
  • Maintained regular backups (store + blogs) and tracked changes for rollbacks.
