Out-Grow, a leading provider of mushroom cultivation supplies and grow kits, needed a modern, scalable, and user-friendly eCommerce platform to support its growth. Their existing Magento store had become cumbersome to manage, with technical issues, limited flexibility, and high maintenance costs. Out-Grow turned to TheGenieLab, a Shopify Agency, to perform a full Magento to Shopify Migration and deliver ongoing improvements to create a professional, conversion-focused Shopify Store.

Our Solution

Phase 1: Migration to Shopify

  • Product reviews imported and integrated with Judge.me for improved credibility.

Phase 2: Shopify Store Enhancements

  • UI/UX improvements across product detail pages, banners, and brand pages (image placeholders).

  • Tier pricing and limited-time deal display integration to drive urgency and higher AOV.
  • Reward system (“Coins”) configured using LoyaltyLion.
  • Flash Sale pages and campaign-specific landing pages to boost conversions.
  • Schema fixes, canonical resolution, and Core Web Vitals improvements for SEO performance.
  • Ongoing regression testing, broken link fixes, and blog/category meta optimization.

Phase 3: SEO and Conversion Optimization

  • Resolution of duplicate meta descriptions and missing H1 headings across 77+ pages.
  • Alt-text improvements for over 1,000 product images (imagery descriptions added).
  • Improved predictive search and product categorization for better navigation.
  • Optimized FAQ and Knowledgebase content to improve customer support and rankings.
  • Enhanced site speed via unminified JavaScript and CSS resolution.

Results

Since the migration and continuous improvements, Out-Grow has seen significant growth in visibility and engagement:

  • Total Impressions: Increased from ~20K to nearly 60K per day (200% growth).
  • Total Clicks: Over 122K in 16 months since launch.
  • CTR: 1.1% average, with improvement opportunities via CRO testing.
  • Average Position: Improved to 13.6 across Google SERPs.
