The Migration Process: What We Do

Phase 1: Discovery and Audit (Weeks 1–2)

We audit your existing BigCommerce setup: catalog structure, URL architecture, existing metafields, active integrations, third-party apps, and customer data. We document every URL, map redirect requirements, and identify integration gaps between your current stack and Shopify Plus.

Phase 2: Data Migration (Weeks 2–4)

Products, variants, inventory, customers, order history, and collections are migrated with full integrity validation. We use automated migration tools validated against your live store, then run reconciliation checks against BigCommerce to confirm record counts and data accuracy before cutover.

Phase 3: Theme and Integration Build (Weeks 3–8)

Custom Shopify Plus theme development matching or improving your current design. All active BigCommerce integrations are rebuilt on Shopify — ERP connections, third-party apps, custom checkout logic, and any bespoke functionality are scoped and rebuilt before launch.

Phase 4: SEO Migration (Parallel)

Phase 5: QA, Cutover, and Post-Launch (Weeks 8–10)

Full pre-launch QA: checkout flows, mobile responsiveness, Core Web Vitals, integration testing, and redirect verification. Cutover is monitored with immediate post-launch support for 2–4 weeks to catch any edge cases.
