Based in Newport, at TheGenieLab we’re very proud of our Welsh roots but also love being a part of the M4 Corridor. Here’s why we really like sitting on this famous stretch of road – and why it’s worth paying £6.20 to get home over the Severn Bridge.
From London and Reading in the east to the old industrial areas outside Newport, Cardiff and Swansea in South Wales, and with Swindon, Chippenham, Bristol, Bath and Basingstoke in between, the M4 corridor services a lot of towns and cities – each of which has its own specific personality, history and customer base.
That means that no assignment is the same – ensuring we’re always challenged and guaranteeing that we bring our A-game to every project.
The ease of access M4
Being just 192 miles long, a business can travel from its base in Junction 1 in Gunnersby to a client at Junction 48 in Pontarddulais, near Llanelli, in around two and a half hours. A quick route into London, where many of our clients are based, is essential for a business such as ours. And to us, paying just £6.20 to get back into beautiful Wales seems like an absolute bargain.
On top of the variety of clients found along the M4 Corridor, this part of Britain is also home to many of the country’s biggest companies. The area has enjoyed huge investment since the 1980s, particularly in South Wales, and nowadays Microsoft, O2, Alcatel, Dell, Citrix Systems, LG, SAP, Symantec are some of the more notable names found on the corridor.
Because of the great clients found here, the M4 Corridor is a major hub of high-technology businesses and has been known as “England’s Silicon Valley” – perfect for a forward-thinking company such as ours.
Away from the M4? Don’t let that stop you
With all that said, if you’re based many miles away from the M4, we won’t discriminate. Heck, in this internet age, our portfolio of clients work with TheGenieLab from across the globe – from LA and Italy to New Zealand and the Netherlands.
Whatever type of web development you’re looking for, our creative, dedicated team can help your business grow online and boost your bottom line. Whether you’re near junction 1 or 46, or nowhere near, give us a call today on 01633 415 364.
